Description
A recording of the Cyclops Mountains, downunder lies Sentani, where is also the airport and the flight departments of the mission. In December 1970 - New Year's Eve still - it has this huge mountain "haunted": huge bodies of water have come down, and the mountain rivers that come down here were turned into raging water that bring huge boulders and tree trunks down. One of the bridges was then completely wiped out Sentani. The Roman Catholic Mission had a farm with workshops "behind" the bridges, and suddenly there was you isolated. When the water had been dropped, but one is the bed of the river ride. With high water the traffic could not pass. By the time I left - in mid 1975, a new bridge was finally built, and this time the first bridge in New Guinea with prestressed concrete. Then they had no support in the middle building and reduced the risk of again be washed out. A Dutchman came over to lead the construction of this procedure.
