Shield made for the tourist trade. The shield has been carved from a dark coloured wood and ends in a prong. The front of the shield is decorated with animal figures carved out in relief. The raised outlines are coloured black and the figures are in red and white. The back of the shield is undecorated.

Piece of carving made from reddish brown wood, representing the head of a human figure. The carving has likely been made to replace a headhunted human head or a korwar (ancestor image).

Dagger carved from casuaris thigh bone. Around the knob of the dagger a net of tree bark fibre is knotted. Attached to the net are a number of chords decorated with seeds. At the end of the chord tufts of casuaris feathers are attached.

Dried piece of iguana skin

Wooden spoon for stirring or serving sago porridge (papeda). The spoon has been carved from reddis brown wood and is spatula-shaped. The grip of the spoon is carved , partly coloured white with chalk. At the end of the grip a ring has been carved with two carved-out shackles attached.

Skirt, woven from tree bark fibre and grass. The band worn about the hips is woven in repeating patterns. The band is tied with a loop. Attached to the band are corded strings of grass. The grass cords are decorated with tufts of grass.
