III: Cremation Jiwika, December 1974. The deceased is lying on a [platform], in the village. Jatak armbands are graped over the body. Something is [said or sung]. Je stones are put near the body. [Leave-taking]. Men carry bundles of [grass]. The jetak bands are held high and [distributed]. The [platform] is dismantled and the body carried away. The funeral pyre is lit. The body is put on it, more wood put on top. [Blood is sprinkled on the wood]. [Platform] with jetak bands and a group of people sitting before it.
