Crucific, carved from a single piece of wood. The figure of Christ wearing pants is carved out. It nearly fills the cross. It is unknown whether this crucifix was made for trading or for spreading among the villages through the mission.

Wooden crucifix decorated with engravings typical of the area. Stylized hands can be seen on the left-and right side of the cross. It is unknown whether this crucifix was made for the market, or for distribution among the villages through the mission.

Purse, used by men. It was made for the purpose of carrying precious items such as money, kauri shells, and tobacco. The purse is traditionally shaped, but also has a metal zipper. The use of colours is deviant too: besides the traditional brown and yellow we see also blue and white. The two parts divided by the zipper differ in use of colour, patterns, and plaitwork. Acquired in 1970-1972.

Armour made of cord, used for protecting the upper torso, is worn over the shoulders. The cord is made of tree-bark fibre, orchid fibre, and strands of grass. Those parts worn across the shoulders are pliable, connecting through means of rope and eye. The part of the armour that covers the chest is stiff. The armour can be described as an object of ritual use, in the sense that anthropologists often describe traditional warfare as being a ritual. Acquired in 1970-1972

Chisel, with a wood carved handle depicting a human head, body and two arms. The body is decorated with diamond patterns typical of the area. The chisel itself, made of metal, is attached to the handle using rattan strands.

Walking cane, carved from a dark wood. A male figurines is carved on top, the cane itself is decorated with engraved spiral patterns. Tne stick was made in the seventies - for tourists (among others?) - in the university museum in Abepura by the group of woodcarvers surrounding Arnold Ab.

Axe with a wooden haft and black, stone axe head. Axes such as these were used to chop or split wood.

Headhunting horn made of bamboo with engraved patterns. An unworked band is carved in the middle of the horn. On both sides of this band are mirroring geometrical patterns. The head hunting horn was traditionally used to incite young men to go headhunting. Probably this horn was made for white people living in the area, after the headhunting had become obsolete.

Wood carved drums (tifa). Several figurines are engraved in the handles. The drum's skin is secured using strands of grass. Drums are used during group- and ceremonial occasions.
