Description (brief)
Purse, used by men. It was made for the purpose of carrying precious items such as money, kauri shells, and tobacco. The purse is traditionally shaped, but also has a metal zipper. The use of colours is deviant too: besides the traditional brown and yellow we see also blue and white. The two parts divided by the zipper differ in use of colour, patterns, and plaitwork. Acquired in 1970-1972.

Description (brief)
Armour made of cord, used for protecting the upper torso, is worn over the shoulders. The cord is made of tree-bark fibre, orchid fibre, and strands of grass. Those parts worn across the shoulders are pliable, connecting through means of rope and eye. The part of the armour that covers the chest is stiff. The armour can be described as an object of ritual use, in the sense that anthropologists often describe traditional warfare as being a ritual. Acquired in 1970-1972

Description (brief)
Headhunting horn made of bamboo with engraved patterns. An unworked band is carved in the middle of the horn. On both sides of this band are mirroring geometrical patterns. The head hunting horn was traditionally used to incite young men to go headhunting. Probably this horn was made for white people living in the area, after the headhunting had become obsolete.
